For restaurant managers & owners
Need Food Manager Certification?
Get certified online without leaving your restaurant.
Coastal Food Safety Exams is an independent proctoring service for the ANAB-accredited Food Protection Manager exam, administered through Always Food Safe. You train on your own time and test on a video call with a live proctor — from the back office, after close, or on a Sunday morning.
You reach a proctor directly — not a call center. Need it today? Say so and we will tell you what is possible.

Owner & certified proctor
Your proctor, start to finish
Coastal Food Safety Exams is a small, owner-run proctoring service. The person who answers your text is the person who sits on the video call with you and watches you test. That means one phone number, one email, and no support queue between you and an answer about how it works or what your jurisdiction expects.
How the process works
Four steps. Nothing happens on a schedule that ignores your service.
- 1
Tell us what you need
Send the form below or text us. We confirm whether you need the $149 manager certification or the $19 handler card — sometimes it is the cheaper one.
- 2
Do the training on your own time
Self-paced video training with chapter quizzes and a practice exam. Most managers spend a few hours across a couple of shifts.
- 3
Test when you are ready
We meet you on a video call at a time you pick. The exam takes 60 to 90 minutes from your back office, kitchen, or kitchen table.
- 4
Get your certificate
Results come back the same day. Your ANAB-accredited Food Protection Manager certification is valid for 5 years.

FAQ
What managers ask us.
Don't see yours? Ask us directly in the booking form below — a real proctor replies.

- The training is self-paced and the exam takes 60 to 90 minutes. There is nothing to schedule, so if you have the time to sit down today you can finish today. Call or text 948-230-6077 and tell us your deadline.
- A laptop or desktop with a webcam and microphone, a stable internet connection, a government-issued photo ID, and a quiet room where nobody will walk in. The back office after close works well.
- Yes. Each person tests individually on their own device, whenever they are ready — nothing has to line up. For larger teams, see group certification.
- Yes. Manager certification is $149 per person and the food handler card is $19 per person. We can handle a mixed order in one booking.
