- A government-issued photo ID
- A clear desk — no notes, no phone, no second screen
Why people choose the online exam
Most of our candidates work in kitchens. Taking a half day off to sit in a test center means covering a shift, so they test at 9pm on a Tuesday instead. Nothing is scheduled, so that is entirely their call.
If you would rather talk it through first, call or text 948-230-6077. You will reach us, not a call center.
Same certificate, different day
Exams are administered through Always Food Safe, an ANAB-accredited provider, and we proctor them remotely. Acceptance is determined by your state and local health authority — confirm any specific requirement with your health department before booking.

- Yes. You need a laptop or desktop with a webcam and microphone, steady internet, a quiet room with the door closed, and a government-issued photo ID. Many of our candidates test from a back office after service.
- The certificate is the same ANAB-accredited Food Protection Manager certificate either way — the location of the exam does not change the credential. Your state or local health authority makes the final call on acceptance, so confirm requirements with them if you are unsure.
- As soon as you are ready. There is nothing to schedule — once you register we email your course access and exam link, usually within a couple of hours, and you open the exam whenever it suits you.
- The training is self-paced and takes most people about 8 hours in total. The proctored exam runs 60 to 90 minutes.
- $149 for the training, the remotely proctored exam, and one free retake. There are no other fees.
